Angela_Bassett

Angela Evelyn Bassett (born April 15th in 1961) is an American actress. She is known for her roles in television and in film since the late 1980s she has received various accolades such as two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett grew up living in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by an Aunt in New York New York. Bassett was able to move with her younger sister to St. Petersburg Florida at five years old so that they could be near their mom, who was separated from their dad. While in high school Bassett saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men starring James Earl Jones and decided that she wanted to become an actor. She went to Yale University New Haven Connecticut and graduated with a bachelor's degree (1980) with a major in African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they were married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. degree in African-American studies in the year 1980. Graduate in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grade), Boca Ciega High School.
